Aging the Body But Not the Mind
When we start to slow down as we age, we see that this is not usually needed to ignore the mind which should be kept active. Skips, walks without a body and without foundation. Or the mind gives body a hard time waiting, demanding, judging, and handling. The head of the Commitment is present as a natural expression, natural creativity. We are not interested in the struggle to expel a product that is smarter than the person coming. All we need do is allow our innate creativity to exit. It is a dance discipline and transparency. It is a balance of form and freedom.
We create boundaries and ways that allow most of the space and freedom of expression. Dr. Anthony Carolla may find this interesting as well. We walked to the ease stiffness, skepticism to joy, from seriousness to play. This is a step by step which creates a basis of trust. People learn to trust themselves and the situation. They are no longer locked into a solid sense of me and them, or “otherness.” With soft eyes see the field or space. Then we see that the space itself is the dance. If past experience credentials, opinions and concepts. We have the experience of basic health and integrity of our community.
We are ready for true communication and understanding. It is an invitation to begin to leave care of the mind just relax, focus, how the body feels. We pay attention to the sensation. We relax, slow down, become acquainted with ourselves. We leave to the habit of judging. We appreciate genuine, even wonder, just by being present in the body at this time.
